Hi all,

first time I post in this section, so please don't flame me to much.

I recently bought one of these off Ebay, thinking that if I get it at this silly price, it is worth trying and most probably then just passing it on as it probably will only degrade my system.

Received it, put it together and was thinking of selling it even before testing it in system. But then common sense luckily woke up a brain cell and I thought: I may as well test it after all, I do have it now all ready and all.

So I hooked it up.

Man, I was not prepared for what I heard. The soundstage was at least as wide as before, but a lot more stable, almost as if this little guy actually conditioned the signal and put everything nicely in place. The soundstage is better for sure - is this even possible?

I see the 6N3 does not have too many fans, but I have to say that I cannot fault it at present as it keeps the sonic character and detail of the input quite well, but does not make the music 'warm' and sluggish IMO.

Needless to say, I am not selling it off anymore, but I am looking for a bit better and beefier ac power supply, this one runs very hot and vibrates like crazy.

These sell of eBay and Amazon (so eBay for us). I wrote a short layman's review on Amazon if anyone is interested.

Anyone else with experience on these?

BTW I got mine from an eBay auction for about R250 landed cost.
