Not sure I am imagining it but everything goes quieter during these frequent load shedding episodes we are being subjected to at the moment. Its not just inside the home (obvious one) but the cars seem quieter, ambient noise outside also seems reduced. Does electricity have some background noise we have become accustomed to somehow? I think I might be out on a limb here but I like the quieter atmosphere, reminding me of hard lockdown. I am not, needless to say, happy with the frequent load shedding and all its consequences, but a little peace and quiet and soft lighting here and there never hurt anyone. OK, I think my laptop battery is running down and I have an other hour to go before switch on time.
