I have a situation where I can either have a long (approx 6m) optical cable or a long HDMI cable.
My WDTV Media player connects via SPDIF to my sound system and by HDMI to the TV. Because of the location of the sound system control box (Logitech z5500) in relation to to the media player and TV I have to have either a long cable for the audio or a long cable for the picture over HDMI. Any suggestions of which will give the least problems/signal degradation if any, or is that distance not really an issue for either??
