I?ll be interested to hear about audiophile experiences that really made an impression on you
For example:
a) Emotional Experiences:
I am aware of audiophiles unexpectedly bursting out in tears whilst listening to music.
I once heard a female voice on an average LP system that made the hairs in my neck stand on end. It was a magical moment and for some strange reason I could not recreate the same experience (with the same music) on much more expensive system(s).
b) Radical Hardware System Changes
Then there are the seemingly rock solid hard core audiophiles who for years treaded the traditional upgrade path and then by chance they stumble upon some specialist equipment that has such a huge impact that they end up replacing all their equipment with the new product. I do not want to name these audiophiles but I am hoping that they would identify themselves and provide some input as to what moved them?
How often do these experiences occur where traditional audiophile conventionality simply flies out the window and is replaced with something totally new?
