I'm new to the forum, after strolling around on here for the last couple of months eventually decided to join
I'm currently in Kuwait for work and electronic prices over here are fantastic- so I'm buying here and taking it back to RSA.
Got myself a Marantz nr1504 for just under R5k and now considering a speaker setup. This will be for a small/ medium size tv room/ living area.
Big floor standing speaker- a big NO from the wife, maybe smallish floor standing or otherwise bookshelf speakers a main speakers with rear surround coming from in ceiling speakers?
Any suggestions? My speaker budget 4-6k for now, I don't mind building it up with time if the need be....
Can get the polk audio TL1600 5.1 package here for under R4k but not sure that this setup would be enough?
I'm looking for quality sound- not necessarily power
