So, i'm Busy sorting out this amp and see if you can get it up and running. On opening of the amp, i founded that one of the F100 fuses is blown, so i replaced it with the same amp fuse. With connecting the power, the fuse pop again, so this was a sign something is wrong, under close inspection, i found the problem. Blown IC on the SMPS board.
I downloaded the service manual for this amp to check the diagram and see what sort of IC it is. IC is a TOP258MG.
Question is now, seems to me i need to import a TOP258MG IC "still need to call communica to find out if they stock". If you go on RS website, they only show the TOP258MN. The info that i can get is, is that the MN is the replacer of the MG.
Can someone with a tech background give me more info please. If i can get this sorted out, then i can place an order and check if this IC will sort the amp out.
