After about ten years worth of happy company with my venerable Marantz SR4002, I have decided to upgrade my home theatre AV receiver to something more substantial. I have looked at the Marantz SR 7005 AV at circa R18000 and have been suitably impressed. However another shop in my vicinity threw the spanner in the works with a killer deal on an Intehra 70.2 AV receiver for circa R17500.
Now I am stumped - I have been very happy with my little marantz - 10 years of daily service without even needing to replace a fuse! However it is obviously not HDMI capable, nor does it have any fancy video or audio processing especially for the digital formats.
I watch a lot of video in .mkv format, usually 720p or 1080p files through my Mede8er and also listen to my CD collection encoded in entirety into 320kpbs MP3 as well as some .flac files. Thus good enoding/decoding and processing of digital file formats is very important. I also have a Drobo FS network attached storage unit on my home network and would like to interface it with the amplifier over ethernet. I also like listening to classical and choral music on CD in stereo mode.
The Integra's claim to fame is a "custom" installation and famed multizone use as well as the usual mishmash of Av receiver gadgets and tricks. It supposedly is a upmarket version of an Onkyo.
On the other hand I have had a very happy history with Marantz in the past...

So which would you choose and why???
