I have a big concern with my power amp and trying to find the right pre-amp for it. The power amp manual states that it has an input sensitivity of 0.5V for rated output at 1kHz. Most pre amps I have seen have an output level of 12V and higher. Does this mean that these pre amps have the potential to damage my power amp?
If I look at the pre amps offered by the same manufacturer I see they have an output level of 1V max. Does this mean I am limited to preamps only from the same manufacturer and the few other manufacturers who have preamps with output levels also at around 1V max?
