I need the audio fundies perspective on this question.
I have researched it a bit via the marvel that is google and the general consensus seems that is feasible with a decent amp.
I currently have the Yamaha RXV-467 amplifier which seems to be comfortable with 2-8Ohms. http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/av-receivers-amps/rx/rx-v467_black__u/
I also have the Jamo S 608 HCS 3 speaker set which is all 60hm. http://www.jamo.com/search/?ks=S%20608%20HCS%203
I would like to know if it would be possible to mix in some  B & W 8Ohm front speakers while running the rest of the Jamo 6Ohm speakers as is ?

I am basically looking at the feasibility of slowly over time upgrading my speaker setup.
A lot of the threads mentioned concerns about the power output per channel and stressing the amplifier potentially leading to overheating\fire ?
What is your thoughts \ advise \ conclusions around topic ? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
