Does anyone on the forum have experience with implementing multiple subs? What are the does and don'ts when it comes to having two subs?
For instance, is it ok to have different types of subs? I have a ported 10inch (SVS PB1000). Does it make sense to complement this with, say, a sealed 12 inch for extra 'punch'?
By introducing the second sub, I'm hoping to deal with the apparent rooms modes resulting in very uneven bass volumes. It would be great if I could also, in so doing, achieve more pleasing bass tone and mid-bass 'punch' than the PB1000 produces on its own. My room is not a dedicated listening room or theatre so acoustic treatment is not really an option.
