My sub was on the inside of my front right speaker. This limited the room to move my fronts closer to the center. On Sunday I decided to move the sub and I almost dislocated my back by how heavy that thing is. I moved the speakers to the centre by abt 15-20 cm and the result was a huge difference from how it sounded before. The bass is more deeper and there's more coherence of the band than 2 speakers playing together. The soundstage is much deeper and sweeter.
I think my original speaker position was motivated by the shape of my room and the need to widen the sweet spot but I have realized that no one cares about the quality of the sound in this house as much as I do so why not reduce the sweet spot but improve the quality. The QED interconnects I got last week didn't bring as much of an improvement as the speakers relocation did.
