So my wife calls me to the "TV room" after she heard a loud pop after firing the system up this morning. I could smell burnt electronics the moment I walked into the room. I immediately thought "oh no, let it not be the TV, power amp, preamp, dac,... [emoji24]"
Everything looked and sounded fine but I switched everything off and tried to snif my way to the source of the smell. Switched everything on again and noticed the right speaker was quite, that was when I screamed the f* word.
My Mark Levinson 431 basically blew a channel. I think due to the dual mono design the one channel kept going like nothing happened.
I immediately contacted Roland, but I'll have to wait for over a week before he is available. This is a very sad day for me [emoji22]
