I have a 3020 series 20 that has a slight non volume dependant noise on the right channel which goes away ( or diminishes so I cannot here it ) when the mute button is in.
This is in the pre section as I have tried it with a separate power amp and the problem remains.
it is irritating to have the mute button in all the time for a minor problem.
This was my first amp in the 80's and I would like it perfect, but I know it is not worth spending its total value on a repair.
Anybody know what this is ? more of a rumble than a hiss and can only be heard when within a metre of the speaker.
