This is my very first post here on AVForums-SA and have enjoyed reading some of the topics thus far.
I have just begun working on my AV setup and dont have anything fancy as yet...mostly commercial stuff.
I have an LG 50" Plasma, Sony (DAV-777) 5.1 HT and PS3.
- Plasma has 2 HDMI inputs,
- Sony DVD (connected via HDMI to TV)
- PS3 (connected via HDMI to TV)
Additional info: I am saving up for either a Sony Str-2400es AV receiver or Onkyo TX-SR876 HDMI, THX A/V Receiver, hopefully Dec2010, switch-on
I can currently play my DivX movies through HT when I burn them to DVD, which is great but when I watch Blu-rays via PS3, I have to listen to sound via tv. Not cool at all
Issue:
Is there a way to connect my PS3,DVD and TV together without the use of an AV receiver? I would ideally like to utilise the HT surround speakers when watching BD movies.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
