Good Morning everyone
I was at a mate last night that was looking to buy a new DVD player and found a great bargain at R300.00 while listening to this I thought I was transported back to 1998 when we were all so excited we didn't have to change to laser disc 2 with this great technology. I listens for maybe a whole 10 seconds and decided to spend some of his money... Sadly I cant go wild and with him and his wife have come down to two options, and I need your guys advice on them. I will post the pros and cons for my mate below each

Pro's for my mate
Can use STD Bank uCount rewards to buy
complete with Bluray already
surround speakers are on stands so will be easier to place with out building speaker stands
persuaded him to get in at least this price range

Pros in my opinion
Receiver is something he can build on if he wants to improve his speakers
system in general seems to be a much more robust system
Cons
no bluray included
will have to make surround speaker stands
and will have to pay actual cash for the system (I persuaded him to spend at least this (R6K) plus a Bluray play)
Which route would you guys suggest
