Need some advice: Kruger National Park Booking

I am just peeved because of how things work sometimes...

Made a booking for Aug 2013 in KNP for 4 day +-R4700
Wife gets diagnosed with cancer and had to cancel and no refunds but will keep the booking for us when we ready.
We decided same place same time but now I am told... No prices went up and I have to Pay another R914 to confirm the booking...
FFS... Sat with my money for then 12 months in their bank and now I have to still dock up

Any comments?
