Hi All
I have been hooked on hifi for over 25 years now. My introduction to hifi was a pair of Acoustic Research Spirit 132 powered by a Yamaha AX590 and a Phillips cd player. I still remember the smell and moment I took those speakers out of the box they were unfortunately stolen during a house burglary. I have since been through quite a few pairs of speakers on my endless quest to find sound nirvana.
I have settled with a pair of 805D's for the last few years which have proven to be very very capable speakers IMHO. I did however make a small mistake when pairing my sub, I had decided that I would go for a Velodyne SPL1000 based on the size of my room, but for some reason I pulled the trigger on not one but two SPL1200 Ultras :nutter:
So I never have a bass problem.
The balance of my current hifi is as follows :
Oppo 105
Marantz AV8003 and MM8003 8 Channel Power Amp
Synology 213Air for Hi Res music and my CD FLAC backups
B&W Centre CM S2
Monitor Audio Gold GX Rears
LG 55"UHD TV
Look forward to interacting with fellow enthusiasts
Cheers
Wayne
