Hi Guys
My name is Ryan Mathew and as the title suggests, I am a newbie.
I have always had a passion for audio and this has translated into massive builds in my car's.
My SUV is the current world record holder for SPL and Bass Boxing in my class.
Getting back to more musical pursuits, I have recently decided to upgrade my budget system:
- NAD C320, Mission M73
- NAD C310, PSB Bookshelves
My new system- it's not in the league of some of you guys but represented a huge investment for me.
- Marantz CD5004
- Yamaha AS- 1000
- B&W 683
Comments, as my first real system, am I on the right track?
Really does sound sublime to me:
- nice big sound stage
- controlled mid range
- punchy low end
I heard the CM8's and for the price jump was not impressed.
Also heard a pair of Mission Mx6's that were really poor.
Any ideas on what I should have paid for my kit? Just to know I wasnt ripped off !!!
Also what interconnects and speaker cable should I be looking at?
