Good Morning guys and girls, So i believe this is a noob question and need somer clarity on what would I gain on an upgrade and is it a worht while move.
My current system
Speakers
Front: B&W 603 S3
Centre: LCR 600
Surround: B&W 602.5 Floor standers
Sub: B&W ASW675 & REL Q100e
Current AVR: Marantz SR5005
AVR Upgrade SR7007
I know that there are lots of things like the airplay and the network capabilites as well as all the extra ports In and Outputs, but my question is specifically regarding the AMP and power output, The SR5005 is running at I THINK 95w per channel and the SR7007 is at I THINK 115w per channel.
The SR7007 is a 7.2 compared to the SR5005 which is a 7.1 I am currently using ony 5.1 (dual sub set up) so is this necessary, I am running a Projector and TV in the same room so the extra HDMI port will be great but this can also be solved with a Splitter, but there is also a 3rd HDMI out which I can use for a small monitor in my room for CCTV.
when I bought I think I paid R8500.00 for the SR5005 the upgrage unit on a pre owned item is R16500.00 I think I can only get about R4-5k for the SR5005 if I am patient. this big price increase is it worth while or do I keep the unit I currently have.
