As some of you may be well aware (or at least got wind of it :whistler Remedytec (Judy & Mark) had already decided a while back that we will be immigrating to the UK over the next year or so. Being blessed enough to do so and after around two decades in the industry, our mind had been set to wind up Remedytec, pack our bags and following some time off to breathe and re-assess, start a new adventure on foreign soil.
As to very recently, there had been no confirmed timeline in terms of the closing or selling of Remedytec in accordance. As such it was (besides not maintaining our installation service when my brother-in-law emigrated), ?business as usual?.
However, with the crippling limitation of the COVID19 lockdown and the inevitable time and effort that would be required to build the industry and our firm alike back up to where it was before the lockdown, we have now found ourselves short of time.
Although we whole-heartedly believe that the industry WILL recover, and honestly THRIVE in the years to come ? we also believe it to be only for those up for the challenge and ?in it for the long run?. The lack of the latter, fuelled by our decision to emigrate, is unfortunately where we fall short.
The industry/economy/country would not have recovered by any means within our original, albeit tentative timeline of emigrating. As such there will be absolutely no purpose in spending months building up what we had (even before covid19) every intension of systematically breaking down anyway. :nfi:
As such, we would like to announce the closure of Remedytec in its current form by end 2020. The 'physical shop' will close by end June, with the remainder of the year being online sales exclusively.
Look out for some awesome specials as we actively dispose of our stock on hand over the coming months. We will also still order in adhoc stock for the remainder of the year as and if needed by our clients/you. Warranties are held by the respective importers, all with whom we have dealt with for more than a decade each, so this will pose no risk on the part of our clients/you. We got you covered!
This is not a "new decision" but rather an "old decision expedited based on logistics". With the gauntlet of imminent total lockdowns threatening physical trade for us and every other dealer in our industry, even as little as a week in advance, we can not logistically afford to be faced with yet another lockdown year end, at a time we desperately need to close books. As it stands Remedytec and other dealers alike are only able to fulfil orders at level 3 lockdown, which is yet to be announced.
The current plans obviously also leaves great opportunity for any prospective investor that may want to continue with our business in some form or another, as the IP, standing relations with suppliers and remainder of the stock alone may serve as a great investment. Although "selling Remedytec" it is absolutely not instrumental to going ahead with our personal plans, should we decide to pass the torch, we promise to keep you and our clients informed in accordance.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients for over 15 years of support and friendship, and especially all our friends on the forum, most of which are also clients :2thumbs:
To a bittersweet 2020!
Judy (& Mark)
