I bought these avant-garde speaker early last year, they needed new surrounds and spiders. I have them reconditioned by Willy Louw of Universal Speakers who happened to have the right spiders in stock and surrounds that fitted. They are unique in their vertical down firing design producing an omnidirectional sound developed by Lincoln Walsh founder of Ohm Speakers that still exist today . They lack on the bottom end but where highly regarded in their day and are quite capable today.
The design has been refined and redeveloped by Peter Dicks who developed his version called the Dick Dipole Driver and with Mueller founded German Physiks.
