Hi Guys,
I was wondering anyone has had a similar experience with their Onkyo receiver being particular susceptible to lightening.
Since 12 November i have replaced 4 Onkyo 444 Receivers due to "Lightening". the issue i have is that in my cinema room i have installed clearline surge protectors that cover all my goodies including the router, and another Sony receiver. but each time we have a bit of lightening around the Onkyo gets fried, in particular its the HDMI port. but nothing else, i mean nothing else gets hit.
I had a conversation with someone about this and without knowing the model he asked me if it was an Onkyo? so my question is, should i rather sell this new Onkyo that's arriving this afternoon via Insurance claim and get another brand of Receiver, or am i just unlucky?
