I recently replaced my onkyo tx-sr577 with a used 608. I reset to factory default and connected the audessey mic to do its thing. The problem i experience now is that the onkyo needs lots of volume to push my jamo s606 speakers. I literally have to take the volume all the way up to 45 just to watch normal tv. This was not the case with the 577. (normal tv watching was @ volume 30), It had more power from lower down. The 608 is obviously an upgrade but it just doesnt seem to have enough power.
Is there anything that I should i'm missing out. This thing doesnt wanna push my speakers. :headbanger:
