Is anyone familiar with JVC 55" FHD LEDs?  For example the "JVC TV 55N935 FHD LED 3D SMART" for R10990 at hifi corp:

A forum here says its a rebranded Numark TV that is horrible: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/595753-JVC-LT-55N935-Android-4-2-Quad-core

"It's cheap for a reason. Usually they're horrible in dim viewing conditions, light bleed/light spots everywhere, poor uniformity. You'll never tell when viewing it under thousands of watts of Massmart lighting.

Also remember that it's not the real JVC. You won't find it on their site. It's rebranded Fong Kong by Nuworld - http://nuworld.co.za/ReadContent768.aspx.

Rather look at Samsung 50" F5000 LCD (UA50F5000) at around R8,000. I think there's even a 55" for around R11,000.

Or better yet, 51" FHD plasma (PS51F5500) at around R8,500. Or the 60" for around R13,000. These are SMART 3D TVs, dual core processors, etc.

Or can anyone suggest a 48-50" TV.  My viewing distance is about 5.5m from the TV. Hoping to get away with R7500-8000 max.  Mainly used for watching movies
