Optical/SPDIF to USB convertor

Is anyone aware of a device/adapter that can allow me to stream/play from an optical/SPDIF device into a Laptop via USB? Preferably available locally and cheap. [Want to measure my streamer (for recreational purposes so hence cheap)-it only has Optical and SPDIF outputs]
