Hello All. I'm moving to a new house soon and want to plan the security system. I have a good alarm guy, but I know it's a mine field of new stuff out there.

I currently have Optex BX80N beams (wired) which have been great, with the exception of the north facing shade-less unit which does go off in midday sun sometimes. We normally bypass it during the day. Never gives false alarms at night.

I will need some perimeter beams types, and some 90 degree types. Or should I be looking at something else?

Wireless or not?

Also, it's a double story, so I'm thinking that the upstairs windows will be covered by the ground level beams, or do I need more?

It's a big old house, so it's not square or rectangular, so lots of dead areas.

Thanks!
