For those who like old loudspeakers, and in relation to another speaker post, pictures of these, which I've had for years. From around 1959, they use the AD9710-A-M 8" double-cone driver, with an 800-ohm voice coil. They are for use with Philips' output-transformerless amplifiers AG9014, AG9015, AG9018, and the AG9081, all using four EL36 valves, which were developed specifically for this application, in an asymetrical push-pull configuration which Philips called 'series balanced output'.
Along with their transformerless amplifier, they have one of the best voices of any loudspeaker I've heard - remarkable detail, and clarity - the best of the 'valve sound', without the difficulties caused by the output transformer.
