Hi guys.
I see someone posted pretty much the same exact question as me a bit earlier, but since we might have different tastes and priorities I decided it would be probably best to start my own thread.
Ok firstly I would like to start small and expand. What I would like is a good set of floor standing speakers and a receiver.
I have a HDMI TV and a PS3 that I would like to link. I will be getting an iPod dock in the near future.
My budget is around the R10k mark.
My priority is music over movies. but i would love something in the "best for both" department.
I listen to classic rock/jazz/classical/alternative etc.. I am not interested in the hip hop "big bass" sound.
I did some demo's around town and found the B&W 683's really covered my tastes well. but they pretty much suck up my budget before I even look at a receiver.
So, what do you guys think? Am I under-budgeting? What should I have a look at?

Edit: Just to be clear. I am looking for Stereo only and not surround.
