Hi Guys,
My SB touch is fried (lightning), so I want to try make my own one using a PI. Now I know nearly nothing about this topic so please be patient with me :-[
I use my SB Touch with USB output to the DAC, so this must do the same. Don't need a display because I use an Ipad via WIFI to talk to the HP Microserver with LMS installed (Ubuntu I think).
The hardware I think I need:
* Raspberri Pi v3 B
* USB WIFI dongle
* SD Card
* Power supply
* Case of some sort
The steps I think I need to take:
* Download PiCorePlayer and load onto the SD Card
* Plug the SD card into the Pi
* Plug a LAN cable into the Pi
* Boot up
* Log into the Pi from my PC using some kind of terminal software
* Configure it using online tutorials as help - both the player and the WIFI dongle
* Unplug the LAN
Does that seem reasonable? Do I need any other hardware or software?
Thank you very much for your help!
Kind regards,
Ian.
