Polk S4 vs JBl Deep bass

I'm looking for sound systems for watching movies and occasionally play music.My budget is R6000. I know soundbars are hated but with my budget I won't afford a home theater system. I was able to listen to the JBL 2.1 deep bass and I have read good review about the Polk S4 but haven't been able to listen to one. Any recommendations within my budget and where can I sample the Polk S4?
