Is it just me, or is this turning into an epidemic. The "STRIKE" thing in SA.
As a really small timer wannaby entrepreneur in the SA of today, I was almost dealt a fatal blow by the NUMSA strike some weeks back. Stuff being manufactured for my little enterprise could not be done/completed/delivered due to factories / engineering shops closed for fear of action against them.
1 to the unions / 0 to VA .
Stuff that I managed to get in time before closure was stuck with me because I could not commit these to anodizers / powder coaters whatever. Stuff already at these places were out of my reach even if finished, because I could not get past the friggin gates to the premises. Same story, fear of action. Some forum members waiting anxiously, but thankfully patiently for deliveries, understood this. Thank you guys, you know who you are. If you could only have been in government.....

NOW, I have MUCH NEEDED supplies of valves and capacitors from the USA and Russia, lounging on the shelves or floors of the SAPO. Now SAFPO for South African Friggin Post Office. Obviously due to strike action as well. How can a nobody like me survive this ? :walled:

Is this free for all government really for the people and against everything that is business of whatever kind? No wonder we are now meandering down the R11:20 to the $ pathway. Which in turn makes it virtually impossible for next to nothing little old me to do my "little" bit for the economy :facepalm:
I KNOW economy screws the working masses. I KNOW there is disparity in pay differences between bosses/CEO's/ Government appointed big wigs, etc. But can Government NOT SORT THIS OUT before poor old SA and those who chose to stick it out on this piece of the map drops off the edge of the FLAT WORLD??
