Good evening Lords and fellow cottars.
I need some advice please as I don't know the preamplifier market well.
I have a Plinius M-16 preamplifier as seen below.
It is a competent unit and I am satisfied with its performance, however it only has a single stereo balanced input which has become a problem recently as I need multiple balanced inputs and using female xlr to male rca converter cables at the back of the unit is messy.
Currently I need inputs for the following units:
Balanced from MOTU 928X
Balanced from Apogee PSX-100
Balanced from Studer CD player
Balanced from Dok Viljoen
Balanced from Technics SP10
Balanced from EMT 938
I want an extra input or two in addition to the above.
My future sources' output topologies may not be balanced thus I would prefer a unit where each stereo input provided single ended and balanced input (with rca and xlr connectors respectively). Transformer balanced or servo balanced is acceptable. An onboard phonostage would be welcomed, but it is not indispensable. It does not need to be remote controllable.
Can anyone recommend a unit that satisfies the above conditions? I am not opposed to DIY units either if you have something that you would like to trade for my Plinius.
