Hello All,
I have a Precision Acoustix (Locally Made) Pre-2 and PA200, which have given me years of service since the late 1990's.
However they now require a bit of work. The switches and controls and on the Pre-2, which were causing intermittent issues were serviced and that seems to be fine.
According to my technician, the PA200 Power Amp right channel has a blown output stage that needs to be replaced.
The input buffer looks alright but will have to do the output first to test.
Here is the problem: all the numbers on the outputs are scratched off so he is not sure what they are. Both sides no numbers on transistors.
This is the first time that the PA200 is being worked on, so those numbers must have been scratched off by the Fabricators ?!?!?
Precision Acoustix seems to have gone out of business years ago. Does anyone perhaps know where I can get a schematic diagram or who the agents are / were?
I can't remember where I bought it from, just that it was a store near Musgrave Center in Durban.
Edit: just picked up on another thread ... and it rings a big bell - it was purchased from Sound Specialists in Durban
Thank you and kind regards,
Neville.
