I was wondering whether there?s a solution to my problem.
I recently moved my NAD dvd player from my bedroom system to the main system in the living room. I also have an LG Hard drive/DVD recorder in the main system. I discovered that the remotes for both the units - the NAD and the LG recorder- appear to use the same IR signals. This applies to the stop, play fw/rew buttons, i.e. for example, when I press the ?play? button on either remote, the command is received and executed by both units. This can be particularly annoying when, for instance I try to stop a playing a cd/dvd on the NAD while I?m recording something on the LG and the recording is inadvertently stopped.
What I?ve been doing so far to address the problem has been to:
- Ensure there isn?t a disc loaded in the NAD when I use the LG recorder; or
- Put the LG on DVD mode and ensure that there isn?t a disc loaded in it when I use the NAD dvd player.
Is there a more permanent and practical solution to this problem?
