Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone else here has an old PS3 (2007 version) hooked up to a NAD or similar AVR to help me out.

Having recently bought a new TV, I re-visited the wiring and all the setup on the PS3, NAD, DSTV, etc.

Along the way I realised that this whole time I had the PS3 HDMI audio output set to PCM, which means the PS3 does the decoding and sends through PCM. I then decided to switch it to Bistream so that the AVR can do the decoding.

Now, here is the issue (maybe): the AVR only says DTS or Dolby Digital on the source format, even when on the PS3 I have selected the DTS-MA or DD-HD tracks (Adele & BladeRunner Blu-Ray)

Does this mean:

a. the display on the T757 only displays DTS/DD whether the source format is DTS-MA/DD-HD? or
b. the DTS-MA or DD-HD is not coming through?

If a, then obviously I can leave the config as is, but if b, then I will have to revert the config on the PS3 back to PCM.

Thanks!
