Hello, this is my 1st post.
I have a question regarding a B & O system, which I plan to sell at sometime in the future, but would like to use know, as well as know about it's completenes:
It consists of a
Beomaster 4000 tuner/amplifier
Beovox P45 panel speakers
Beogram 1203 Record Deck
Questions:
1. was this ever sold as a 'system', or are these parts that have been put together?
2. If it is a 'system', would it not have had a tape deck as well, given that tape decks were so prevalent in the 1970's?
3. were the speakers designed to be wall mounted, as these panel speakers CURVE at the top, and I am unsure how they would be mounted SETBACK from the wall towards the top of the speaker? special speaker-specific mounts?
4. the fabric of th espeakers is in a good condition; should I wish to recover it, if I keep the various components, is there somewher in Cape Town that would RECOVER the two speakers, and if so, and concerns that I should be aware of.
5. Finally, the only damage I can see is one of the two lugs on the rotary dial at front left on turntable has broken off; dail still functions, but any way of me repairing this/replacing it?
6. Would the speakers have been bought as a set of 2, or in this specific case, were there 4 which have then been split up?
