So esteemed members  ;)

Let me get my flame proof suite  :flame: IMHO, most of the better quality loudspeaker systems today, perform the way they do because of 1) SUPERIOR crossover design, 2 & 3 good quality drivers and cabinet design. So my question as per my previous thread regarding DIY loudspeaker kits is , would you ever consider fiddling with the brains (crossovers) of your speakers  :point:
The way I see it , bean counters are involved in most commercial ventures today and crossovers are no exception. So my question as follows:
Would you consider fiddling with your "pride and joy's" brain, if component upgrades and technical assistance was available?
Scenarios would be removing the whole crossover and sending it away for an upgrade (locally) or / and DIY surgery undertaken by yourself with technical support and guidance.
Fire away  ;D
