Hi Guys,

I've recently moved from SA to Germany and managed to order a new Hi-Fi system, which will only be delivered on Tuesday (I've been waiting 3 weeks :headbanger:). I've already overspent a lot and thus a digital streamer was the last thing on my list...  :help:

I was wondering if anyone here has used a Raspberry Pi with the HiFiBerry Digi+ (https://www.hifiberry.com/product/hifiberry-digi-transformer-version/) board as a digital transport for hi-end hi-fi (well, to me at least)? I was wondering what software you guys will recommend.
I found the following software http://www.max2play.com/en/, was very easy to install and also quite easy to set up as a 'Squeezebox' player using Squeezelite. I'm planning on using Tidal as streaming source through Squeezelite and feed the digital signal directly into my DAC (actually in my Pre-amp). I've also got some files stored on my desktop PC in my bedroom that has LMS running.

The main question for me is, how does this setup compare to other streaming devices (as it costs considerably less)? Will there be a difference in sound between this and a Bluesound node for instance?

Looking forward to your responses.
