Currently with Stage 5/6 I am enduring 12-14hrs of loadshedding in a 24hr window. Yay. And praying no breakdowns happen due to the intermittent loads. fingers hard crossed.

I was looking at portable battery power stations -

I was considering the Hagenz, when a random ad let me down the rabbit hole of portable generators -

I don't need more than 2KW, I guess even 1.5Kw would suffice for my needs. The Mac Afric looks good and I've seen generally favorable reviews on Adendorff.
At that power level I expect they would let me have some lights, run my laptop and amp/speakers (most important). I however have zero knowledge or experience of generators. So turning to the wisdom of the crowd.

Are these generators decent or I've overlooked something better at that price range?
Or should I continue on my original course that would only let me charge my devices, headphone and run my routers?
