I was excited to learn that this year?s F1 season will finally be broadcast in HD on DSTV. Being something of an F1 nut, I?ve been recording almost all the races for the past 15 years, either to VHS and later through my LG dvd recorder.
I have the baby HD decoder with no PVR subscription though. Is there an external device that can be used to capture/record HD content from DSTV? Even a PC-based solution perhaps? I am aware that there might be encryption issues here as far as recording via HDMI is concerned. The recordings don't even have to be in the same broadcast resolution, but certainly a picture quality better than the ordinary standard resolution.
