Rega Planar3 with rega bias2 cartridge just purchased but!

Okay so I have gambled here this one plays for an hour just fine then slows down?Its in lovely condition the cart is brand new and it has a glass platter(do they come like that?)Anyway I paid R1500 and hope I can make a wee profit if the repair is not serious?Advice please.
