Hi All
I have a quick question. I recently bought a new REGA RP1. I've used the table for about a day and I've started to notice some things that concern me. Firstly the cartridge is sitting very close to the record. There is barely a gap between the cartridge and the record when it enters the groove. I think its touching the record at times (which I can very faintly hear sometime). The second thing that concerned me is that the tonearm is not parallel to the platter. The cartridge end is higher than the pivot. From what i can tell there is about 3-5 mm higher on the one end. Is there something wrong with the table?
From what I was led to believe the TT should have been set up in the factory and with minor adjustments should have been ready to play.
I do have some other concerns but would like to first get some clarity on the initial two.
Regards
Jonathan
