Hi All,
I have an intermittent problem with my Marantz PM-KI Pearl Lite amplifier. The right hand channel goes dead from time to time. Connecting the speakers to A or B makes no difference. However, connecting to a different input, does solve the problem...albeit temporarily. I have been advised that the relays are the likely cause.
This a truly phenomenal sounding amplifier. I don't want it to lose any of its magic. Would replacing the relays have any potential impact on the sound quality? Is it a crucial component that should only be worked on by the official Marantz agents?
