Thought I'd share some thoughts here: today I did a little adjustment on a Brinkmann Integrated amplifier, nothing unusual. After all the measurements there always is a quick listening session just to be sure. Usually a few test tracks to test for distortion and some anomalies and then it's packing up.

I've had a lot of stuff on my bench, mostly on the exotic side, but something unusual happened this time. This amp just gripped me and I ended up listening for over 15minutes listening, in glorious mono on my lab speakers on just one channel, to this amp. Call it PRAT or whatever other audiophile terminology, but this is one of the most MUSICAL amps I've ever had the opportunity to play with. Next step was connecting it to my main rig and boy, did she sing. Still is at the time of writing.

Whoever is in the market for an integrated amp with incredible performance, gorgeous looks and German pedigree to boot, this is a serious contender. There was a very positive review from [member=15182]Air[/member] a while ago about this amp, but that was related to a past version (which I've also had the opportunity to listen to) dating from over 20years ago and excellent as it is, the latest incarnation is just in a different league. Forget NAD, Rotel, Marantz or all the other go-to brands and think outside the box. This will just make you forget about the electronics and just enjoy the music.
