I have a friends onkyo ht-r508 that i am looking at.
Basically it is dead.
When I power up the stand by led flashes once and then NOTHING further.
I checked the stand by powersupply and this seems fine at 12V.
I downloaded the schematic.
I traced the standby power (12v) all the way to the little 5V regulator for the cpu. this also works and I measure 5v.
With this regulator working and cpu getting 5V. ( reset line measures high)
I am not sure how to go further.
the stand by LED is fead directly off the cpu so , for this to not work there must be some other issue.
Anybody have a bit more experience with fixing these types of processors?
