Restore Kenton tablet to factory settings

Hi

My son has a school issued Kenton 7.0 tablet running Android 4.1.

He has forgotten the device unlock pattern and now can't access it.

I have been trying to figure out how to restore the device to factory settings but no luck thus far.

It's important we resolve this since they use them at school.

Anyone know how i can reset this device to factory settings or bypass/disable the screen lock pattern?
