I recently bought a 985 MkII from a fellow forum member. The amp is awesome however the face plate has some discoloration and weird marks.
A quick Google search brought me back to AV Forums - with exact pics of my amp. Seems as though the amp has exchanged a few hands in our community.
I'm definitely keen to have the face plate restored and was thinking about a fresh layer of paint/powder coating and laser etching the original text. Anyone recommend a place in JHB that I can use for some laser etching? Is it even possible? A mate of mine already sourced the vectors...
I have a ton of car cleaning products so will try some clay and metal contaminant / tar remover too.
