I have some lasers with stepper motors , one of the stepper motor drivers on the motherboard died and the cost to replace the motherboard was R6000. The agents dont fix , luckily we had a spare and our laser is now up and running. At any rate , to cut a long story short , I googled the driver chip and found the RS components had em in stock and have decisded to do a DIY repair.
I am in CT , RS is in Jhb.
I ordered 3 of the driver chips at about 12 noon yesterday , was easy and painless via my CC. I got immediate mails as to confirmation etc , later in the day got e-mails about despatch. I got my chips at 8am this morning , delivered via courier to my door , there was NO charge for delivery , the whole deal came to R320 odd with Vat. Bravo RS Components , it's good to see that at least one co in SA is customercentric and service oriented...
