Righto, I'm in the market for a decent set of balanced cans to become my primary listening rig for some time... My main listening setup at present is ATC active loudspeakers, so my listening preferences are little to no colouration, great midrange and articulate bass. Open back probably won't work too well unless sound leakage isn't major. I don't like to listen loud, but I do love clean and detailed with the ability to convey the emotion of the music. Amplification will be taken care of with an amp suitable to drive any load within reason.
Not having done much with cans in the past I'm looking for 1) recommendations and 2) opportunity to sample some can rigs that are considered to meet the brief.
Any takers?
