Sand/Material for Speaker Stands

Hi All,

Have a question on what type of sand/material can you used to fill you speaker stands?

Does it make a difference?

I am getting a pair of Monitor Audio stands for my GX100 standmounts, I see they can filled and reading up I notice you can use sand, but what sand?
